2025 Day at the Capitol Events
At ABH, we are committed to connecting health professionals with opportunities to grow their advocacy skills and advance public health. We recognize that there are many pathways to creating change, and one of those pathways is legislative advocacy.
If you're new to legislative advocacy, a great way to get started is by participating in a Day at the Capitol event. These events are organized by advocacy groups and coalitions, providing attendees with structured opportunities to meet directly with their elected representatives. Leaders from these organizations offer guidance and talking points to help you confidently discuss key issues and bills currently under consideration by the legislature.
Meeting with your elected officials is a meaningful way to share your perspective, voice concerns, and support policies that improve public health. ABH warmly invites you to sign up for one of the upcoming advocacy days that most aligns with your passions and interests:
February 18: We Make MN Rally in support of strong public schools, affordable healthcare, good jobs, and safe communities with Isaiah and We Make MN
February 19: Physicians’ Day at the Capitol with Minnesota Medical Association and specialty organizations
February 20: Mental Health Day on the Hill with NAMI MN
February 25: MNA Day on the Hill with Minnesota Nurses Association
March 10: Reproductive-Freedom Lobby Day with Pro-Choice MN
March 10: Single Payer Lobby Day on the Hill with Health Care for All MN & Physicians for a National Health Program MN
March 11: Hunger Day on the Hill with The Food Group, Hunger Solutions and Second Harvest Heartland
March 19: Zero Waste Lobby Day with Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate & the Minnesota Zero Waste Coalition.
Early May: OutFront Lobby Day for LGBTQ+ Equity with OutFront MN (being rescheduled from February 14)
