On March 20th, ABH staff connected with Minnesota youth at OutFront’s 2025 Youth Summit in Saint Paul, a conference celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ and allied high school students. The event gathered over 400 attendees for workshops on leadership, skill-building, and community connection, alongside a resource fair and entertainment.

ABH tabled with Minnesotans for a Smokefree Generation, including colleagues from the Association for Non-Smokers Minnesota (ANSR) and Twin Cities Recovery Project, to raise awareness about the tobacco industry’s targeting of LGBTQ+ communities. Many students shared concerns about widespread vaping in school bathrooms and the need for better support for nicotine addiction.

Engaging with youth at the Summit was a valuable opportunity to listen, educate, and empower young people in making informed health choices. The conversations reinforced ABH’s commitment to tobacco prevention and cessation support. ABH looks forward to continuing these essential discussions and advocating for a tobacco-free future.
