Legislative Workshop Empowers ABH Public Health Advocacy Fellows

On Saturday, January 4th, ABH hosted a legislative workshop for the 2024-25 Public Health Advocacy Fellowship. Fellows and mentors gained valuable insights into advocacy and the legislative process from a lineup of accomplished speakers.

Ruth Parriott shared strategies for navigating Minnesota’s legislative system, while Lilly Sasse, Director of We Choose Us, emphasized the power of coalition-building. Senator Liz Boldon (MN Senate District 25) inspired attendees with her perspective as a healthcare provider and legislator, highlighting the importance of their voices in shaping public policy.
