ABH & NorthPoint Co-Present at MDH Commercial Tobacco Prevention and Control Conference
At ABH, we remain committed to addressing the harms of commercial tobacco and challenging the disproportionate impact it continues to have on communities across Minnesota.
Amber Kerrigan, Idalis Riley, and Lucy Faerber co-presented Innovative Approaches to Commercial Tobacco Cessation at the MDH Commercial Tobacco Prevention and Control Conference on April 7, 2025.
Last week, the ABH team had the opportunity to attend the Minnesota Department of Health’s Commercial Tobacco Prevention and Control Conference in St. Paul, MN. With over 300 attendees from across Minnesota and neighboring states, the conference was an energizing space to connect with partners, share insights, and reflect on the importance of this work.
ABH Senior Program Managers Amber Kerrigan and Lucy Faerber were honored to present alongside Idalis Riley, Manager of Health Policy and Advocacy at NorthPoint Health & Wellness. Together, they shared highlights from the ongoing ABH–NorthPoint partnership—now in its third year.
This collaboration has focused on identifying strengths and areas of improvement in NorthPoint’s commercial tobacco cessation services and exploring which resources are most effective in supporting clients on their quit journeys. The breakout session sparked thoughtful questions and insightful discussion from a highly engaged audience. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our work and learn from others in the field.
Thank you to everyone who attended our session, asked questions, and offered feedback. A special thanks to the MDH Commercial Tobacco team for organizing such a meaningful event and for including our collaborative efforts in the programming.
