Becky Timm, MA Named TCMS Chief Executive Officer

Twin Cities Medical Society is pleased to announce that Becky Timm has been named as the organization’s new CEO. Timm is a seasoned nonprofit executive, with 25 years of experience working in leadership roles for several local organizations, most recently the East Nokomis Neighborhood Association. Timm has a master’s degree in Holistic Health Studies from St. Catherine’s University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

“Becky has an incredibly successful track record as a nonprofit executive, including a history of transforming organizations into sector-leading nonprofits,” said Zeke McKinney, MD, MPH, MHI, President of TCMS. “Her expertise, her accomplishments as a leader, and her passion for equitable community health are just a few of the tremendous assets she will bring to our organization.”

A native of Minnesota, Timm’s background includes working extensively with community health programs, including experience with the impact of health inequities on Twin Cities neighborhoods, food systems, and justice.  She is an accomplished communicator, trainer, and project manager, and was named a City of Minneapolis Health Hero Awardee for her work developing community-informed programming.

“I’m excited to help TCMS move forward as the organization continues to grow its imprint as an important advocate for health equity and other important public health initiatives,” said Timm. “It’s an honor to be working with this group of talented healthcare professionals as together we seek to improve the lives of Minnesotans and to better the health of their communities.”

Timm served in West Africa and the Philippines as a Peace Corps Volunteer and as an AmeriCorps Member in East St. Paul. She has served on many nonprofit boards and community commissions and is now Vice-President for the Hennepin History Museum.  Timm and her family are originally from the Twin Cities and live currently in Minneapolis.
