Welcoming Aman Damer, RN, BSN to the ABH Board
Aman Damer, RN, BSN
ABH Board Member
We are thrilled to welcome Aman Damer, RN, BSN to the ABH Board in February! Aman brings a deep passion for community well-being, a wealth of experience in public health, and a strong commitment to advancing health equity.
A Minneapolis native, Aman is eager to give back to the community that has shaped him. With a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Metropolitan State University and a Project Management Certificate from the University of St. Thomas, he combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership to drive meaningful change. As a public health nurse, Aman has worked across city, county, and nonprofit sectors, addressing the social determinants of health and expanding access to care for underrepresented communities.
Aman believes that health equity goes beyond equal access—it’s about tackling food insecurity, racial disparities, and housing instability to improve overall health outcomes. As an advocate, he actively engages in voter registration outreach at food shelves, bridging the gap between policy and community health.
In addition to his role at ABH, Aman has served on the boards of Rainbow Health and Eritrean Mutual Cooperative in Minnesota. Professionally, he is an Outreach Program Planner at Canvas Health, where he works to connect underrepresented communities with critical healthcare services.
We are excited for the passion and expertise Aman brings to ABH. Join us in giving him a warm welcome!
